HamGeek MA-01 V2.8 Portable Telescopic GP Antenna Kit 7MHz 100W Shortwave Antenna with 7MHz/14MHz/21MHz/28MHz Coil

Specification:

- Type: shortened sensing GP antenna

- Standard kit frequency: 7MHz, 14MHz, 21MHz, 28MHz

- Withstand power: 7MHz, 100W (halved for FT8 mode)

- Note: the base has a matching coil, so the center of the multimeter and the shielding layer are in a short circuit state.

- Packaging box size: 180 x 110 x 30mm

- Total length: 1.4m (with 7MHz coil stretched)

- Net weight: about 350g (excluding the stainless steel oscillator)

Package Included:

- 1 x Base

- 1 x Set of 7MHz/14MHz/21MHz/28MHz Coil

- 1 x 1.2m Telescopic Antenna

- 1 x Set of 4-16/6-16/4-10 Wiring Terminal

How to Use?

1. Connect coils to the base and then adjust the rod or stainless steel antenna element;

2. Pull out the whole rod while using, and shorten the rod while using antenna analyzer data;

3. When used in the field, it is recommended to connect one 3m/9.8ft counterpoise (1.5 or 2.5 square wires);

4. When using in a car, it needs to be grounded with the car body;

5. It is not recommended to use beyond the tolerated power. If you need to use it, exceeding the withstand power for a short period of time, please observe the coil temperature and standing wave in real time.

Antenna Element Installation:

1. It is recommended to install it on the front of the car and use a lengthened reinforced antenna bracket holder;

2. The outer layer of the antenna bracket should be well grounded with the car body. Copper braided tape and magnetic counterpoise can be used;

3. For driving safety, it is not recommended to use it while moving;

4. It may cause deviation in the resonance point due to the difference of car body. It is recommended to use an antenna analyzer to adjust parameters or use an antenna tuner.

FAQ:

Q: Does it need a ground grid?

A: Yes, it is necessary.

Q: How to find the center frequency?

A: You can use antenna analyzers or radio related functions.

Q: Why is the standing wave high?

A: 1: The vehicle body is not grounded or does not match the ground grid properly;

2: Is the frequency used standing wave high, or is the standing wave high after finding the center frequency?

Q: What should I do if the center frequency is not at the frequency where I need to work?

A: 1: The center frequency is lower than the frequency to be used, for example, if you want to work at 14.270 and the antenna center frequency is at 14.000, it is because the oscillator is too long and you need to shorten the pull rod or trim the stainless steel oscillator.

2: The center frequency is higher than the frequency to be used, for example, if you want to work at 14.270, the antenna center frequency is at 14.600. In this case, the oscillator is too short, and it is necessary to elongate the pull rod or increase the length of the stainless steel oscillator. It is recommended to purchase M6 stainless steel extension screws.

Note:

- The V2.8 version has upgraded the telescopic antenna thickness and integrated interface screws.

- It is not recommended to use beyond the tolerance power. If short-term use is required, please observe the coil temperature and standing wave situation in real time.

- When trimming stainless steel oscillators, do not shorten the length according to the pull rod, as the diameters of the two types of oscillators are different. Therefore, it is best to slowly trim the stainless steel oscillators based on 1cm.

- It is recommended to use antenna analyzer to test antenna parameters, and the cost-effective Nanovna small network splitter is recommended.
